SIMIDAT is a research group of the University of Jaen (Spain).
We focus on the development of intelligent systems for extracting useful information from large databases using fuzzy systems, neural networks, evolutionary and hybrid systems. We apply both descriptive data mining techniques (the detection of patterns or trends, or association rules describing subgroups) and predictive data mining ones (classification, regression or time series).

What we offer:
We focus on the development of intelligent systems for extracting useful information from large databases using fuzzy systems, neural networks, evolutionary and hybrid systems.
Techniques used include both descriptive and predictive data mining. In medicine problems allows us to extract information that relates symptoms of patients with a possible diagnosis or characterize groups with common characteristics for medical study. In engineering, the mining methods are used to solve problems of modeling or optimization. In economic and financial problems can be used to assist in decision making processes. Web mining methods allow extracting useful information about characteristics of clients in navigating e-commerce sites or web pages to structure information to enhance the user experience.
What are we looking for:
We are looking for companies from different sectors which need solutions for the extraction of useful knowledge to help in the data analysis or in decision making tasks.
